The Al Khatim desert sits about 80 km east of Abu Dhabi city on the E22 highway toward Al Ain — roughly 45–60 minutes from most central hotels, depending on traffic. It's a quiet, rolling landscape of soft red dunes and open bowls: perfect for dune bashing, photo stops and a real Bedouin-style camp, without the long drive to Liwa (240 km / 2–3 hours each way, full-day only).
From AED 150 per adult on a shared 4x4 with hotel pickup, AED 250 for VIP seating, AED 350 for a standard morning and AED 400 for a sunrise or an overnight safari. A private 4x4 for up to 6 people is AED 900 per vehicle. Children aged 4–11 pay AED 140 on the evening safari. All prices include transfers, activities and dinner where applicable — no camp surcharges.
