How Abu Dhabi Desert Safari Tours | Sahara Thrills Tourism LLC collects, uses and protects your personal information — in plain language.

In short: we only collect the details needed to arrange your safari and talk to you. We never sell your data, we don't run advertising trackers, and you can ask us to see, correct or delete your information at any time.

1. Who we are

This website is operated by Abu Dhabi Desert Safari Tours | Sahara Thrills Tourism LLC ("we", "us", "our"), a licensed desert safari tour operator based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. This policy applies to this website, our booking forms, and any message you send us by phone, WhatsApp or email.

2. What information we collect

We collect only what is needed to arrange and deliver your booking:

  • Contact details — your name, phone number, email address and WhatsApp number, when you fill in our quote form, book a tour or message us.
  • Booking details — your chosen tour, travel dates, group size, ages of children, hotel or pickup location, and any special requests you share with us (for example dietary requirements or health notes relevant to the tour).
  • Basic technical data — like most websites, our hosting may record standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited). We may use simple, anonymised analytics to understand which pages are useful to visitors. We do not use this data to identify individuals.

We do not knowingly collect payment card numbers on this website — when a deposit or advance payment is needed, it is arranged with you directly through a secure payment channel or on pickup.

3. How we use your information

  • To answer your enquiry and provide a quote.
  • To confirm and manage your booking — including arranging hotel pickup and sharing driver details before your tour.
  • To contact you about changes to your booking, weather updates, or a rescheduled tour.
  • To meet legal, accounting and licensing obligations in the UAE.
  • To improve our website and services, using anonymised, aggregated information only.

4. WhatsApp and other messaging

Most of our guests prefer to communicate over WhatsApp. When you message us on WhatsApp, your messages are also handled under WhatsApp's own privacy policy and terms. We use WhatsApp only to respond to you and to manage your booking — never to send unsolicited promotions.

5. Marketing messages

Occasionally we may share a seasonal offer with past guests. We only do this if you have booked or enquired with us, and every message includes a simple way to opt out. Reply "STOP" to any message and we will remove you immediately.

6. Who we share your information with

We never sell your personal data. We share it only where necessary to deliver your safari:

  • Our own drivers and camp team — your name, phone number and pickup location, so they can collect you.
  • Service providers who process data for us — for example our website host or a payment provider, bound by their own confidentiality obligations.
  • Authorities — only when required by UAE law or regulation (for example tourism or safety compliance).

7. How long we keep your information

Booking records are kept for as long as needed to run your tour, meet accounting and tax retention requirements in the UAE, and handle any follow-up questions. Enquiry messages that don't lead to a booking are kept for a reasonable period to help with future enquiries, then deleted.

8. How we protect your information

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against loss, misuse, or unauthorised access — including limiting access to booking data to the team members who run your tour. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we treat the security of your information seriously.

9. Your rights

Under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021) and good practice generally, you can ask us at any time to:

  • Confirm what personal information we hold about you and provide a copy.
  • Correct anything that is inaccurate or out of date.
  • Delete your personal information, where we are not legally required to keep it.
  • Stop receiving marketing or non-essential messages.

10. Children

Tours are booked by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. Details of children on a tour are provided by their parent or guardian solely for the purpose of arranging the safari (for example ages for child pricing and car seats).

11. Where your data is processed

We operate from the United Arab Emirates and your information is processed in the UAE. If you contact us from abroad, your messages are transferred to the UAE so we can respond to you.

12. Third-party links

Our website links to external services such as WhatsApp and Google Maps. Those services are governed by their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to read.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top shows the current version. Material changes will be noted on this page before they take effect.
