In short: book in good faith, be ready at pickup time, tell us about health conditions, and we will deliver the tour exactly as described on the package page — or reschedule or refund you if we can't.
1. Who we are
These terms are between you ("the guest", "you") and Abu Dhabi Desert Safari Tours | Sahara Thrills Tourism LLC ("we", "us", "the company"), a licensed desert safari tour operator based at Musaffah - M37 - Abu Dhabi - United Arab Emirates, offering tours to the Al Khatim desert and other Abu Dhabi desert areas. 2. Accepting these terms
By making a booking enquiry, confirming a booking, or joining a tour with us, you accept these terms. The person who makes the booking accepts these terms on behalf of everyone in their group and must make sure the group is aware of them — especially the health and safety conditions in section 9.
3. Bookings and confirmation
- You can book through our website form, WhatsApp, phone or email. A booking is only confirmed when we reply with confirmation of your date, package, pickup point and price.
- Your details (name, hotel, dates, group size) must be accurate at the time of booking so we can plan pickups and vehicles correctly.
- Some tours or peak dates may require an advance payment or deposit to hold the vehicle. Where this applies we will tell you before you pay anything.
- Prices are per person unless clearly stated per vehicle, per bike or per buggy.
4. Prices and payment
- All prices are in UAE Dirhams (AED) and are the prices published on the relevant package page at the time of your confirmation.
- Package prices include the hotel pickup and drop-off, activities and meals described on the package page. Anything not listed (for example quad bikes, dune buggies, private tents, VIP upgrades, or personal purchases) is charged separately at the stated add-on rates.
- There are no hidden surcharges at the camp. Optional extras are always quoted before being provided.
- Payment is collected as agreed at confirmation — either in advance through a secure channel, or in cash/card on pickup, depending on your booking.
5. Cancellations and rescheduling by you
- More than 24 hours before your pickup time: free cancellation or one free reschedule.
- Within 24 hours of pickup, or if you do not show up: the booking may be charged in full, because vehicles, drivers and camp seating have already been arranged for your group.
- Changes to group size on the day are accommodated if space allows, but per-person pricing is based on the confirmed numbers.
6. Cancellations and changes by us
- Desert conditions can be extreme. If weather, severe wind or rain, mechanical problems, government instructions or other safety reasons force us to cancel or materially change your tour, we will offer you a choice of a new date, a comparable alternative, or a full refund of anything you have paid us.
- If we cancel for any reason within our control and at least one of the above options is offered and accepted, this full refund is the extent of our liability for the cancellation.
- We may adjust the order of activities, the dune bashing route or camp arrangements on the day when safety or conditions require it — the overall service will remain as described.
7. Refunds
Approved refunds are processed back to the original payment method within 7–14 business days. Card issuer or bank processing times after we release the refund are outside our control.
8. Pickup times and delays
- Pickup is from your hotel or an agreed point within the areas listed on our website. Shared tours collect several groups, so pickup operates within a window (usually ±30 minutes) around the confirmed time.
- Please be ready at your hotel lobby or pickup point at the start of your window. If a guest is not reachable or ready, the driver may need to continue to other pickups to protect the whole group's schedule.
- If you are running late, message us on WhatsApp — we will always try to help, but missed shared pickups are treated as late cancellations.
9. Health, safety and age conditions
- Dune bashing is a high-energy activity and is not suitable for pregnant guests, infants in arms, or people with serious back, neck or heart conditions, recent surgery, or any condition that could be aggravated by vigorous movement. If this applies to anyone in your group, tell us at booking — we can arrange a gentler drive straight to camp so nobody misses the rest of the tour.
- Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. Child seats can be requested at booking.
- Quad bikes: riders must be 16+, and 2-seater passengers 12+. Helmets are provided and must be worn. The guided route and instructions must be followed at all times.
- Dune buggies: drivers must be 18+. No driving licence is required, but the briefing and marshals' instructions are mandatory. A liability waiver is signed before driving.
- Zero tolerance: driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is not permitted. Any guest attempting a powered activity while impaired will be refused without refund.
10. Conduct at the camp
- Alcohol is not served at our camp. Guests are asked to respect local customs and other guests, particularly during shows and shared activities.
- We may refuse service or remove any guest whose behaviour is dangerous, abusive or disruptive, without refund, where safety or other guests' experience is at risk.
- Personal belongings are your responsibility in the vehicles and at the camp; please check you have everything before leaving. We will always help recover forgotten items, but cannot accept liability for loss from unattended items.
11. Insurance
Our vehicles are insured in line with UAE law and tours are operated by licensed, experienced drivers. We strongly recommend that guests also hold personal travel insurance covering adventure activities, as is standard for desert safaris.
12. Photography
Our team may take photos during your tour to share with you. We only use identifiable guest photos in our marketing with the guest's consent. You are welcome to photograph everything except where signposted otherwise at the camp (for example, other guests' privacy areas).
13. Liability
- We deliver tours with reasonable skill, care and properly maintained vehicles.
- We are not liable for losses that are not reasonably foreseeable, for indirect or consequential losses, or for events outside our reasonable control (see force majeure below).
- Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded under UAE law.
14. Force majeure
We are not responsible for failure to deliver all or part of a tour caused by events beyond our reasonable control — including extreme weather, natural events, epidemics, travel restrictions, government directions, road closures, or failures of public utilities. In those cases section 6 (reschedule, alternative or refund) applies.
15. Website content and third-party services
All text, images and branding on this website belong to the company and may not be reused commercially without permission. External services we link to — WhatsApp, Google Maps and others — have their own terms which apply when you use them.
16. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, and the courts of Abu Dhabi have jurisdiction over any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably. We always prefer to solve any concern directly — contact us first and we will do our best to make it right.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page, with the "last updated" date at the top, is the version that applies to bookings made from that date.
